The Founder
Mrs.Vasanthi Gopal, Founder of Sree Krupa Institute Of Music is a gold medalist from Thiruvaiyaru Music College.
​
She started to sing from the age of 3. She was trained by several gurus including Mrs. Jalaja, Vidhwan Komal Shankaran, Mayavaram Parthasarathy, Nadhaswaram Vidhwan Injikudi Ganesan.
​
She has been teaching music for the past 25 years.
​
She was bestowed with the title "Nalisai Nayaki" by the Thiruvalluvar Ilakiya Mandram for having tuned 20 adikarams of the Thirukural.
​
She was also given the title "Thirupaavai Innisai Selvi" by the renowned artist late Sri. Seergazhi Jayaraman for having tuned the Thriupaavai Pasurams.
​
She was conferred with the Bodhaka Award by Maragatham Shankaranarayanan Trust, Chennai on December, 2nd 2018.

Institute
Sree Krupa Institute of Music at Nanganallur, Chennai started in the year 1994 followed by a branch at Adambakkam in 1998 .
​
Currently there are over 1000 students being trained along with 11 support staff.
Mrs. Vasanthi Gopal has been teaching for the past 25 years and many of her students are performing in renowned sabhas across the city.
​
The teaching methodology adopted by her is very novel and has instilled interest in Children to learn Carnatic music from such a young age. She has composed several songs which are easy and children enjoy singing them.
​
Students have won prizes in several competitions conducted at local and city level in India including Music Academy Chennai, Vani Mahal Chennai, Indian Fine Arts Chennai, Bombay Shanmukhanandha hall, Bombay.
​
Students are also trained for music exams conducted by Annamalai University.
